It's life

This December marks the 11th anniversary of my father's first brain surgery.  Every year since 2004, he has had brain surgery--until about three years ago when they tried radiation instead. The radiation helped and shrunk the tumor, but recent MRIs suggest that the tumor is growing again. The first round of radiation had severe side effects, so I believe my parents want to try chemotherapy this time.

People always ask me "How do you handle this?" Well, the truth is, it is all I have known. My entire life, since I was 7, has been about my father getting brain surgery and not knowing if it will be the last time I see him. I am used to it. It's just become my life.

Oh The Questions I Ask Myself

I am enjoying this class for the most part. I just wish it wasn't so dang long! But I guess it is my fault for taking it. I really wanted to get it over with since I am not the biggest fan of English. For me the class would not feel as long as it does if I did not have an 8am class right before. But yeah, does the narrative have to be about a place or person that inspired you or can it be about a time? Does the dialog have to be posted on Eli, too? Oh the questions I ask myself while walking home from class.  I guess I could email her...

If you smell anything funny... it's probably me.

I am incredibly annoyed right now!  My dog, Kadie, was sprayed by a skunk this past weekend while I was home, so absolutely everything smells like, you guessed it,  SKUNK! I read about a couple of ways to get the smell out but nothing promises to work. Over the summer my aunt's dog was sprayed and she could not get the smell out so she had to throw everything away. I can only hope I do not have to do that. So if you smell something vile it is probably me (sorry).

English 1050

After only two classes, I think I will enjoy this course. In the past I have never really enjoyed an English class, it has alway been uninteresting to me.  I am looking forward to learning more about the different techniques to writing a better personal narrative this coming week.

I believe this blog will allow me to document the growth of my writing in a way I can go back and look at in the future.  Even though I am not looking forward to writing two blog posts a week, I know it will be beneficial to my growth and learning.

Introduction

Alright, well, my name is Katrina Kitts.  I am eighteen years old and from East Lansing, Michigan.  I am a chocolate enthusiast and devoted cat lover. Starting this year, I am beginning my five year journey to become a nurse. After getting my Bachelors in Nursing I want to go on to become a Nurse Practitioner. Luckily, during high school I went to school to receive my phlebotomy license.

I'm absolutely in love with California and if I could drop everything and move there, I totally would. I spent the last summer in California with my sister and I fell head over heels in love with the culture, the weather and being a hour away from absolutely anything--which is a perk because with in a day you can be at the beach, then in the desert and driving through the mountains.

My sister actually has a blog, For Lust and Labels, so check her out if you're in need of fashion tips.
